The South Rains Special Utility District water system, PWS ID 1900009 has violated the monitoring and reporting requirements set forth in Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) in Title 30 Texas Administrative Code (30 TAC), Section 290, Subchapter F. Public water systems are required to properly monitor the disinfectant residuals at various locations throughout the distribution system, and report the results of that monitoring to the TCEQ on a quartlerly basis.
This violation occurred in the monitoring period of the first quarter of 2016.
We are taking the following actions to address this issue:
We will be taking special precautions to be certain that our reports are filed in a timely manner in the future by posting reminders on our computer calendars to make certain that we do not miss the reporting dates. We want to assure our customers that all water supplied during the period of this violation was properly disinfected and monitored according to regualtions set forth by TCEQ. Our failure was in not submitting the proper report to TCEQ at the end of that quarter.
